on my friend's server we finally got the leafless grove to spawn somewhere but since its like 60% jungle around, it looks quite silly
#from the fog#minecraft#you also dont get the achievement for finding the grove on the latest beta vers he posted and im SO SAD ABT THAT#bret said leafless groves dont affect jungle biomes but some jungle trees got their leaves stolen#i wonder if its bc theyre just placed by oak trees? maybe it glitched out? no idea how mods work but i think its interesting#or maybe it just affects the small trees not the 2x2s hmmm

I've never understood the appeal of Minecraft
#it isn't really.. a game!#now terraria#thats a got damn video game#but minecraft has like nothing to it minus building in comparison and i don't get it#what draws people to build in that game at all#and after so many years of it being out#i played that shit in 1.7.3 beta and it only got worse after that with the hunger system lol#aether mod is the only mod i ever truly loved too because it made it into a GAME

i keep getting recommended videos about how minecraft isn't fun anymore and it's mojangs fault. i think its such a fascinating phenomenon because i think at least 70% of that comes down to anything getting a little stale when it's all you do for years and years. of course you're going to not feel like something is as fun as it used to be, you started playing minecraft when you were 11 and you are 23 now with a job. things change and you are experiencing it.
#As someone who's played Minecraft all these 15 years... The game is still great.#Take it slower and build even if it's shit. Mod the hell out of it. Go back and play beta or alpha.#And if you're still not having fun... It might be time to step away for a while. That's okay.#I started another survival world back in January and I still have so much fun with it.#I've heard a lot of critique about the progression but... It's all up to your playstyle and how you prioritize your tasks.#I understand Microsoft's influence has led to some shitty decisions. That's valid. But the community is so strong.#Of course I'm not saying critique isn't valid. I have my complaints too.
